And now for my last look in the #5x5byfriends challenge where my 3 year-old nephew chose all my clothes for a week! He did an awesome job, despite the fact that his approach was blindly pointing as fast as he could all over the place so we could go back to playing hide and seek. . Thank you to everyone who voted for which fabrics you love most for the pieces I'm designing with @fauxgerty ! I'm so awed by how they've been able to find such beautiful materials out of industry waste fabrics. If you want to catch up on what's happening, I've got a highlight called Fauxgerty which will have allll the behind-the-scenes of designing clothes with them. . Aaaand now in real life that's not full of clothes designing, I've been using my first weekend at home in a LONG time to clean the house. I have so much clutter and junk that's built up since the spring. . What kind of cleaner are you? A do-it-all-in-a-day-er, or a bit-by-bit, day-by-day-er? . I'm definitely all in a day for big cleans, but I do try to keep things neat in between.

Oh Rita Skirts, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways: I love your classic midi length to be worn with heels, sneakers and flip flops alike. Your gathered, fitted waist. I love your buttons half way down so I can flash a little leg without having to shave my legs all the way to the thigh. And most of all I love your pockets deep enough for hiding haribo sweets when I’m caught snaffling them by a pre-schooler. Oh, Rita skirts, I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life. It's day 1 of my second #5x5byfriends challenge! Okay, so here's the deal. I asked 5 different friends to pick a garment they remembered or liked in my wardrobe. 5 different friends, 5 different items, styled for 5 more days. We've already made it through the 3-year-old nephew edition, so this one'll be ok, right . There's so much happening this summer that my head is spinning, but it's been a joy to see everyone embracing brights for the last month of heat . Hope you all had a lovely weekend! The weather's going to be a little more reasonable this week, so I'm happy to be adding some layers overtop of these pieces . (Also, just realized this outfit is totally the same as yesterday, with a different colour and slightly different jeans. A testament to how I've gotten super comfortable repeating silhouettes in my wardrobe )

I cheated a bit for Day 4 of my #5x5byfriends challenge and switched up these joggers for black jeans because I feel like I've been wearing these pants for too many days! But the whole outfit look was still the essence that my 3 year-old nephew chose, so I feel good about it! . This is the first weekend in a long time that I'll actually be at home, and I'm so so happy! Some may find this over-packing, but I’m gonna be in several different temperatures and have to make sure I’ll be comfortable playing violin outside in all of them I also read @leevosburgh ‘s blog post about traveling with linen, and used her advice about rolling clothes together to save space and prevent wrinkles—if you swipe to the second photo you’ll see this worked like a CHARM!
