While that doesn’t even make sense and I most definitely don’t rub myself down with dirt to prove to men that I can be gross there was a wonderful thing that came out of his trolling. When I didn’t respond the way he wanted me to he sent me a couple of very aggressive messages including one where he called me, and I quote, “Hiking Bitch, 2019.” ... I AM NOW HIKING BITCH, 2019. Praise FUCKING be. ... If this isn’t the extra AF nickname I have been looking for I don’t know what is. You know what, I am a hiking bitch. Sometimes I wear my hair down on a six mile hike JUST BECAUSE I WANT IT TO LOOK GOOD. Sometimes when I’m thruhiking I go all the way into Reno just to get my legs waxed BECAUSE I LIKE HAVING HAIRY LEGS ONE SECOND AND SMOOTH ONES THE NEXT. Yeah, I make Kyle take ten photos of me until I like one of them. And oh - I won’t hesitate to block some misogynistic asshole because guess what Keegan - IM HIKING BITCH, 2019. When accepting that there is a long way to go for me to be recovered, it's a bit easier to stress down and enjoy what I CAN DO. Today I COULD WALK (!) slowly up to Åreskutan and just soak in all the beauty nature provides. Finally I felt I'm on the right track (or trail?) and could ask my body for some good running. I finished 6th on @buffepictrail_2019 in the @skyrunning serie yesterday, and now I'm really excited for my next races. Hopefully I'll step up a bit.
