BIG TEN ANNOUNCEMENT Yesterday our youngest set of kids @kstpsteve and @lupatterson4 , made an announcement of our upcoming #10 grandchild and revealed that they are expecting a boy (much to their son Greyson’s delight). In this time of celebration, I am posting this special moment when our new grandson’s cousin Carter (2nd), met his little brother Cameron (9th) for the very first time. Steve and Lu also shared some of their personal story and the sad experience earlier this year with a miscarriage, in hopes that it might bring comfort to others who have suffered such loss. As a family, we understand the heartache that sometimes comes with the journey of bringing new life into the world and our hearts are with those who have suffered loss and those who have struggled and long to conceive new life. As I calmly wait upon her arrival, I can’t help but think how amazing the woman body is, even at 5am because this mama can’t sleep. We were chosen to create, we were chosen to carry generations to come and we have been given the responsibility to do these things with grace, not perfection. I can understand many things I have been studying about my anatomy now while being pregnant. A few years ago I started to create a habit where I asked The Holy Spirit to teach me how to live, what to wear, how to speak and how to care for my body. It was a season of purification and sanctification. I would pray and seek The Lord for these specific things. The Bible declares that He is our guide, I took it literal (as we should all do) and truly changed my life forever. This habit quickly gave me results, I started to believe more and more in the body & mind connection and how every inch of my body in and out had a voice and if I listened carefully for what my body is asking of me through His spirit I would be able to heal each part properly. I went plant based, I continued my healthy habits, and eventually my obedience to The Lord in this area took me to many blessings. Sounds super weird, I know, but truly helped me heal from the inside out, spiritually, physically and mentally. I praise God for His teachings because I’ve had to live out this teaching through my pregnancy 100x more, on another level I must say. I am thankful for health, for my body, mind and spirit which working together has created a miracle & healed many parts of me.
