I probably do this exercise 3-5 times per day at least. It’s an easy way to relieve compression in the spine.

Lookin like crap when you squat? Here is how you can improve your squat mobility and regress then progress the movement to learn proper form. Many people don’t have the spine and hip mobility to get into a nice position, and then limited ankles is the icing on the cake. Now I’m not saying it’s “wrong” but just not ideal. Perfect squat form is different for everyone since we are all made different, but this will help you find yours!

1️⃣ Deep squat mobility while holding onto a pole in front of you to counter balance and sitting deeper into this position can help these key areas loosen up. Move around in this position to mobilize the spine, hips, and ankles and begin feeling what that more ideal position feels like.

2️⃣ Goblet squats are a great way to change your center of gravity to achieve a more upright and open position. Working this movement over time is a great regression to the barbell squat so that you can learn how to maintain better positioning for when you go back to the back squat.
