I'm at a conference in Las Vegas this week and had to slip away for a couple hours to visit Meepleville! Obligatory photo in the giant meeple cutout. This place rocks! Lots of space and tables to eat and play, 2200+ games to try out, snacks and meals if you get hungry, drinks to tide you over in between bites. Cool vibe. Definitely come visit if you're in Vegas!

WESTERN LEGENDS An open-world-sandbox boardgame, with gold, and cowboys, and sheriff, and horses, and poker, and saloon, and outlaws, and ...blablabla. Boooring. Dude, The artwork is great. @rolandtheillustrator . The production is neat @kolossalgames. The rule is clear. It reminds me A LOT of Red Dead Redemption (The first one). The theme is awesome, and well used. Let’s see the game itself! ⚙️⚙️⚙️⚙️ There’s obviously many things to do : play poker, prospect for gold, rob the bank, fight bandits, sell Cows, become an outlaw, keep the peace...at first sight it has everything needed to please me. But sadly it didn’t. First of all the game is really unbalanced and there are some actions really too powerfull (digging gold for example) . Western Legends should've been play-tested better. Typical of Kickstarter games. Long wait times between turns, too long for a game with such basic strategy. In the end the game feels rather pointless and flat. We began the game with enthusiasm, and finally we bored ourselves. ✍️✍️✍️✍️ It’s really something you learn the more you play boardgames: a beautiful box and components does NOT imply a good gameplay and vice versa. I had a lot of expectations and I have been disapointed on every level. . ⏱to learn: 25 mins. to set up: 10 mins ⏰ to play: 90 mins / 3 players : Bgg rating: 7.8 My rate: 4.5 . . En résumé Un jeu bac à sable pleins de promesses mais très décevant. Le jeu est très déséquilibré, avec des actions bien plus puissantes que d’autres. Les tours sont longs malgré une stratégie très basique.
