Wise words! I am working hard on all of these components. I try to stop all electronics 1 hour before bed (9 pm) so I can get enough sleep, take a 5-10 min walk outside during lunch to get Vitamin D (a hormone- not really a vitamin) from the sun, wake up early each morning to get my workout done, and eat a whole foods plant-based diet. The last two are where I struggle.. Finding time to spend with friends can be tough when life gets so busy and self-confidence is something I have always struggled with. How about a bowl of warm pasta salad for dinner I made this one with edamame, mixed sweet peppers, cherry tomatoes, garlic and shallots. ~ I simply stir-fried the veggies in a teaspoon of olive oil then added thyme, vegetable seasoning and pepper. I tipped in the pasta and stirred well. I allowed it to cool for a few minutes before tossing with pumpkin seeds and rocket (arugula). Simple & delicious. ~ Just because I keep seeing this pop up in some of my comments, I want to let you know that giving up my 100% plant-based diet was not about what I couldn’t get from plants, it was about what I was getting too much of, the digestive issues they were causing and the more sinister issues that could have developed if I carried on. I won’t address this issue again because I think it has dragged on for long enough and it’s time to let it go. Thanks for your support always

Basil: Fortifies the digestive and nervous system and can be a good remedy for headaches and insomnia. Basil also contains anti-inflammatory oils that protect the joints and enhance digestive health. ✨ There are two things I feel silly buying; 1. Hummus 2. Pesto. They are both so simple to make and can be cheaper than store-bought versions. I used this recipe to make my basil pesto today: - 1 clove garlic, roughly chopped - 20g fresh basil leaves - 20g fresh rocket leaves - 20g sunflower seeds - 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil - Pinch of salt ********** I blitzed this roughly in a food processor and then combined with cooked pasta. This tasted so fresh and amazing even without nutritional yeast or vegan cheese. ✨ I prepped some prawns to go with this, but totally forgot about them No harm done, I will use them in the recipe I planned for tomorrow Have a great evening lovelies

Remember to celebrate the small wins. I struggle with this too sometimes but seeing my nutrition clients set small yet specific goals towards a healthy sustainable lifestyle and staying consistent with them is a great motivator to me. — We often only look at the big end goal and focus on that rather than all of the small steps it takes to achieve that goal. We see someone who healed their acne or lost fifty pounds (their big end goal) and not all of the small, boring things they did to get there. Those smaller goals all add up big time. — •That “small” goal you set to stop drinking soda and replace it with water is actually BIG in getting you to your goal of having more energy. •That “small” goal of walking 5,000 steps every day, then working up to 10,000 steps every day. That is a BIG step towards that goal of losing 10 pounds. •That “small” goal of switching to a safer deodorant is a HUGE step towards your goal of balancing your hormones. — Celebrate those small wins and keep going. Keep setting tiny goals ‘cause they all add up! And tell me about them because I want to encourage you, support you and cheer you on!
