Happy Mothers Day In all my life, I've never known this level of chaos or love. I've witnessed first hand how the two intertwine giving rise to the magic of motherhood. And when the chaos builds, I'm reminded how sacred this role really is. My body traveled through hell to bring each of these little people into our lives and family. My heart battled against all odds to see them; hold them and feel their little hearts beating against my own. I would do it a thousand times over to experience this level of joy. But there is also always a place in my heart that I leave open for our angel baby. And how desperately I long for him to join this bed party too. I know this day will feel heavy for so many women. Women suffering silently in miscarraige and infertility, in the silent nights after abortion or loss. For the mothers who never hear from their children and the children who wish they had a mother, my heart aches with yours. May you be reminded today, if no where else, God loves you. And His plan for you is still good.

• HELP/ADVICE! • Our Mexico trip is just around the corner and to say we’re excited is an understatement! If anyone has tips on what to do in Tulum/Quintana Roo with a toddler, send them my way... I’ve been doing some research and it’s all kind of overwhelming to be honest and I’m not sure how much I have planned is actually child-friendly! We will have a car and 8 days to explore, so are planning day trips from Tulum as well (possibly Valladolid... anywhere else we should visit?). All advice on what we should bring, see or do are welcome and much appreciated!

. . So this weekend is kind of a biggie for me, as it's the 'Foraging Skills Weekend' at @wiltshire_bushcraft_club . Originally I'd intended on heading down on my own - it's a skills sharing weekend, and I wanted to be able to give my utmost attention to everyone. We'll probably be doing some guided walks around the woodland (and possibly beyond), there'll definitely be a bit of tasting, and some stuff about the ethics and sustainability of foraging. And I'll undoubtedly go off on a tangent - if Paul lets me - on good ways of using foraged foods, as well as a few ways of laying some down to enjoy later in the year ☺️ . But at some point a couple of weeks ago, JJ found out it was going to be 'foraging lessons at camping club', and he wanted to go too. which meant I'd be concentrating on making sure he was safe, and enjoying himself, as well as everything mentioned above. Plus it would be his first 2 night hammock camp, and only his second overnight camp at all... . Eventually I decided it would be fine, and people would understand. And he'd love it. I mean, he's actually got a stupid amount of knowledge for a four year old - some may say he's been brainwashed, but he enjoys it  so he can probably even help a little. . The thing is, tonight he's been a Grade-A Turd. From the minute I picked him up from nursery. And despite multiple warnings about his behaviour. Pushing boundaries, kicking, throwing stuff... . And I may have ended up telling him he couldn't come...  . So now I have to decide whether he actually will be going. And at the moment I'm about 65/35 in favour of taking him anyway, but I'm soooo frustrated about the whole acting up thing... .
