Best example: this Les Pins Francs from @chateau_jean_faux . . The winery Château Jean Faux cultivates only 2% white varietals. So this wine is kind of rare. It’s a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Oh, and it’s biodynamic. Look at this light yellow colour with green accents! It’s like a promise, that it’s going to be summer soon. . . In the nose: lots of fruits. I can smell elder and a hint of lemon. On the palate this bone-dry beauty overwhelms me with it’s classy structure, which is so elegant, that I would love to bow to it. Then we went down to the south-west of France, among and Bordeaux and Pyrenees, do you know the wines of this region On this occasion I pleasantly discovered the AOC Jurancon and Madiran (#whitewineemoji) The Mantoulan Jurancon Sec 2011 by Clos Lapeyre, a blend of Petit Manseng, Courbu and Camaralet that is not produced in every vintage, Charismatic! This Champagne is a blend of ten different vintages. . . Look at this golden colour! For me it’s promising an intense taste. But first the nose: lime, carambola and grapefruit as well as brioche (of course). Very delicious. . . On the palate this champagne is crisp, delicate and also meaty.
