Honest truth: I haven’t figured out yet why this is so hard. But it definitely qualifies as #evilshittodowithblocks provided you aim for several reps. ⠀ At first I’m just trying to isolate abduction and adduction and then eventually I bring in more range of hip flexion and external rotation, pulling the block toward my hips as knees continue to reach wide. Pelvis stays level and grounded the whole time. ⠀ Expect to say hello to: - Your inner thighs/adductors - Hip flexors - Hamstrings (depending on how much you use them to pull the block in toward you) ⠀ I like to treat this as a fun inquiry...as in “hmmm lemme try it this way and see what happens.” When you try it, what do you notice? ⠀ Pro-tip: combining this with the one @kathrynbruniyoung posted today using the ball and theraband would be . ⠀ I also wonder if this would be good prep for being a base in acro yoga? ⠀ ⠀ #yogadetour #followthedetour #yogablocks #movewell #hipsdontlie #acroyoga #strengthforyoga #yogateachers #yogateachertraining ⠀ ⠀
