10.04.2017 Der Tag der unser Leben verändern sollte. Anfang April 2017, es war kurz vor Ostern, noch nie hab ich mir meine Periode mehr herbeigesehnt als zu diesem Zeitpunkt, denn endlich sollte es mit der Kinderwunschbehandlung los gehen. Alle Ergebnisse der Voruntersuchungen lagen vor und wir waren voller Hoffnung, dass man uns in der Klinik, zu unserem gewünschten Wunschkind verhelfen kann. Ich wartete also auf meine Periode, doch sie wollte nicht kommen. Ich war traurig, enttäuscht und wütend, war sie doch sonst immer recht regelmäßig, eine Schwangerschaft schloss ich 100% aus,... als ich gut eine Woche überfällig war, kramte ich doch einen Schwangerschaftstest hervor, machte ihn, verschwendete jedoch keine Sekunde an den Gedanken, dass er positiv sein könnte. Es dauerte keine 5 Sekunden und der Test zeigte zwei Striche an , ganz deutlich, zweifellos. Ihr könnt euch nicht vorstellen was in mir vorging, mir kamen die Tränen. Schwanger, ich? Keine Chance, der Test muss kaputt sein, lag er ja auch schon Monate herum. Schnell neue Tests besorgt und siehe da, wieder positiv...hat sich unser gewünschtes, lang ersehntes Wunschkind, doch ganz still und heimlich auf den Weg zu uns gemacht, ganz von alleine, ohne medizinische Unterstützung. Ich war sprachlos, musste weinen, konnte es nicht fassen...es war das schönste Wunder was mir je widerfahren ist, unser Osterwunder 2017! Und jetzt ist unser Wunderkind schon bald 16 Monate bei uns, unglaublich. Being pregnant feels so different to how I thought it would ⁣ ⁣ I used to look at pregnant ladies & be utterly amazed, in awe, that they were growing a life inside them. Now it’s me, and at 25 weeks it just feels totally surreal. I continue to be amazed each week by how my body changes, although noone told me quite how difficult it would be to just let go & adjust to your changing body - bigger boobs, tummy & weight gain. The next level tiredness, aches, pains, hormones, mood swings & non glam side of pregnancy (3 days travelling without my @bbhugme pillow and my back is in pieces) but hey I dreamed of this for a long time and am incredibly grateful for where we are today.⁣ ⁣ It can be really difficult after IVF to let go & trust your body but I’ve finally learnt the art of it and learnt to enjoy the ride #realtalk #pregnancy #ivfsuccess

The way he looks at me I try to keep the cheese low key but this man, the one who despite my many flaws and having enough baggage to fill a freight train loves me and all that I am fiercely! He loves “our” family and would and has moved to the ends of the earth for us. Hello From Me To any new (and seasoned) follows to my page, thank you so much for following me hopefully you will get a few nuggets of info that will help you improve your health. A little bit about the person behind the squares...... I’m Rosie I am a Nutritional Therapist. I specialise in Fertility and Female Reproductive Hormonal Health (PCOS, endo, fibroids, PMS etc). In my old life I worked in HR, hiring, firing and training. To be honest the corporate life of being suited and booted, just didn’t suit me. I was tired of saying phrases like ‘I’m not sure if this is aligned with the company vision’ and ‘we need to think strategically not just about short-term gains’ It was my personal health that made me take the leap and study 3-year nutrition course at @collegeofnaturopathicmedicine (London). I had IBS and acne and it was only when I did some functional testing I found out it was due to parasites I’d picked up whilst living in Ghana (mmm parasites ). I finally got this sorted naturally, after various GP visits and tests that showed I was ‘fine’. In my spare time I enjoy playing squash, salsa (new hobby) and anything that involves 90s R&B. I have lived in various cities in the UK and now I live in Chorlton, Manchester, with my husband Ben. Ben and I met 9-years ago when we both worked at Mars chocolate (yes I have done quite the 180 from chocolate to nutritional therapy). I love my job.
