The first picture is from the day we heard sweet Rhett’s heart beat for the first time at 5 weeks 6 days. I was so anxious and scared of loss because it was so familiar to me. I trusted in His plans for me as a mom and loved this baby fearlessly, knowing I would meet him or her someday - even if that meant our meeting was with his/her siblings in heaven. • • • Kevin and I have talked about how great the day is going to be when we get to meet our other babies in heaven, and I cannot wait for that day. • • • This second picture is of my ginormous belly, that I love and cherish so so much. I’m in awe of what our bodies can do, and I know the day Rhett is born I’m going to miss feeling him on the inside, where I know I can protect him the best (I know I’ll love having him in my arms, too). 34 weeks feels so surreal to me. I never thought I would get to have this experience and I thank God every night that I’ve gotten to carry this baby. • • • So momma, if you’re waiting for your someday baby or your rainbow baby, know you’re not alone. You have a God that has plans for you, and a community of people that you can lean on and experience life with. I pray for you mommas every day, because I was there, and I know the journey is dark and hard - try to focus on the promises of tomorrow.

Mummy I was nominated by @alicia_grace2017 to share a bit about me, and why not...I take the pictures and I write the posts so here is a snippet of me. I’m Megan and this is my little girl Daisy. Me and Jamie (Daisy’s daddy) have been together for 3 years and are getting married Feb 2020 I am 27 but feel about 50....Trust me when I say motherhood has really aged me but I wouldn’t change a thing. I love all the soaps and we sit and watch them every night! I have endometriosis and was told about 5 years ago after surgery for this that I needed to “hurry up” or I would really struggle to get pregnant. That was such a crappy thing to hear and I really panicked. I mean at the time I wasn’t in a relationship so had no idea what to do. All I wanted to be was a mum so it was always in the back of my head that maybe, just maybe I wouldnt get that chance. When me and Jamie decided to try for a baby, I was obsessed! I was so worried it wouldn’t happen and then sadly I had an ectopic pregnancy. If you have been through this you will know the emotions are crazy. The doctors tell you how lucky you are as you could have died but you feel anything but lucky! 6 months later I fell pregnant with this little gem. It was the scariest and most amazing feeling I’ve ever had I just couldn’t describe it. So here she is, 17 months old and being a mum is my favourite thing to do I loved travelling pre-baby, Thailand has to be the best place on earth in my eyes, Tenerife is a close second! I could count my true friends on one hand but to me that’s perfect! I have loved horses from a very young age, showjumping at high level in my teenage years and this is why I would love Daisy to relive my childhood. Let’s talk about pregnancy. Being honest, it was hard to get pregnant. And being doubly honest, I HATE talking about how difficult it was. (To my hardcore German family reading, sorry I’m not sorry for being vulnerable .) I had hyperthyroid Graves’ disease (I hate saying the word disease), a condition that can make it difficult to get pregnant. I happened to be one of the unlucky ones. I scheduled surgery to have a complete thyroidectomy and although I had never had surgery before, I was relieved to hopefully have a solution. I walked away from the surgery with a sweet scar on my neck and hope that this would work. After over a year of trying, I was finally pregnant with Jack and sicker than sick. I also had a horrible hair dye job at that time and it is just beyond looking at pictures when I’m sick with unintentional highlighter blonde hair. Maybe one day I’ll have the courage to post that photo
