After many years of ttc, 2 chemical losses, 1 miscarriage followed by 2 failed IVF cycles, I can say we got a BFP on our 3rd attempt of IVF. I am currently 7 weeks 5 days so a long way to go. We saw two (yes two!) heartbeats at 6 weeks. As with everything on this journey we know how quickly it can be taken away but for today we are grateful beyond words to @ivfserum. I know how hard this will be for some people to read and I truly get it. At 43 time is running out for us. Three month photos, round 3 (Last one!) This last onesie Gwen is wearing is very personal and emotional for me....As much as I am incredibly grateful for “our little embryo that could”, I can’t help but think of all the “little embryos that couldn’t”. Before we had Gwen, I would read about genetic testing that can be done on embryos and I thought it was a great thing. I really didn’t think much else about it beyond that. We ended up not needing it because we didn’t create enough embryos for it to be necessary. But once we had Gwen I couldn’t help but think about the genetic testing of embryos, and it has been on my mind many times since then. To our little embryo that could: If you had been tested, would the beautiful little girl you see be here? Would we have been told that you as an embryo were abnormal, and been advised not to transfer you? Would you have been discarded along with all the other “embryos that couldn’t”? When I think of the fact that Gwen never once was at risk of miscarriage, of how her embryo (without full genetic testing) was rated as the very best quality, of how after they transferred her she just grew and grew....I know she was meant to be here. My goal is to encourage others to talk frankly with their doctor about genetic testing and try to go about it in the most careful way possible. It does serve a purpose for women who have dealt with multiple, crushing miscarriages or need to test for specific health reasons. The technology is an incredible thing! But the costs have to be weighed carefully because you may risk discarding the baby that you so desperately seek. We are just so grateful to have our Gwendolyn! Baby Monnier Coming Soon! Well, eventually… Yes, this is a real ultrasound, and yes it is mine. No, no there is not a baby in there (not even if you squint really hard.) I was thinking about sharing this yesterday to spread awareness about the pains of infertility, and about pregnancy jokes, but I didn’t think I had to. And while, thankfully, I did not see any April Fools Pregnancy jokes from friends, I did see a few from celebrities. While one was @justinbieber, who may not take his platform seriously, there was also one from my role model Brit Morin. She quickly recognized the pain her April Fools post caused others and turned it into an opportunity to educate and spread awareness. Just as @brit has used her platform to educate I would like to do the same. When I was 15 I was diagnosed with a genetic mutation, that had the side effect of either A. Not being able to get pregnant or B. If I could get pregnant, there would be a high probability that my child/children would carry the gene (Fragile X) which also happens to be the leading cause of Genetic Autism (Happy World Autism Day!) For 15 years I perfectly designed my life around protecting myself from having to face the pain of my reality, of not becoming a mom. So yes, when someone posts an April Fools Joke about getting pregnant, it hurts. It hurts a lot. And it doesn’t just hurt me, it hurts 1 in 8 women. Most of whom, you don’t know about it, because they don’t talk about it. Over the past year, my coaching practice has been shifting towards filling a need in the market, that is so personal to me. The need to help women come together, talk about these issues, and spread awareness about infertility, underlying conditions that cause infertility, IVF, and adoption. Please help me with a few things... Let’s get a little more creative in our April Fools pranks, practice sensitivity when asking about women's plans to have kids. They may want them right this very second, but it just may not be possible. Let’s talk! If a friend is going through this, ask them how you can best support them. And if it’s you, how can I best support you? I am more than happy to share my story with anyone and everyone!

Carrying 3 babies right now I love that I don’t have to leave the house, or find a sitter, or pay for daycare, or heck even put shoes on, in order to get an awesome workout in! . The ladies in our group are on FIRE & it has me so motivated to get moving each day & stick to this program! Why haven’t you joined us, girl?! Yes, YOU!

The Twins are 8 MONTHS OLD TODAY!!! Are you kidding me?! Time is flying by.... . . Cairo: This chunky guy right here is literally all smiles! All you have to do is look at him and he flashes that smile showing all his 6 teeth. He’s such a chill happy guy, just like his Kuya (big brother) Zee was as a baby. Cairo is still all about food, and now he can hold his own bottle. He is trying to crawl, but can only go backwards right now, he loves doing the splits and then gets mad when he gets stuck in that position. Still sleeping like a champ! Cairo is entering the “stranger” phase and starts to cry when he sees people he doesn’t know, but he usually warms up when people play peek-a-boo with him. I don’t know his weight but I do know HE IS HEAVY! . . . Malakai: This is our sensitive and slightly more serious boy! He’s pretty easy to make smile but he’s also sometimes hard to impress. He has his 5th tooth coming in and he wants to make sure everyone knows lol. Malakai is Mami’s little twin! He loves our food! Malakai is on the move!! He has mastered the belly crawl and turning around in circles. He is also in the “stranger” phase but more so just judges people with his huge eyes. He has the cutest laugh. He is a great sleeper like his twin! I also don’t know what he weighs but I do know it’s less than Cairo lol. (3rd pic is what we call Malakai’s signature pose with his mouth open and hand out ) . . Both of the twins light up when Zee plays with them, they love him so much. . . I have to say, being a toddler+twin mom is pretty amazing!

Our sweet boy Stone Hollis Stewart arrived March 28, 2019 at 2:08 pm, 4lbs 3 oz. After 36 hours of trying for labor and at 36 weeks old, he was delivered C-section! He is the cutest little peanut and has filled our hearts with such an unbelievable amount of love already. He has some growing and catching up to do and won’t be coming home for awhile..but is doing awesome! The past 7 days have been filled with so many unexpected things. We didn’t know we would be having a baby so soon, didn’t know what to expect, didn’t know really anything except that a baby was coming, ready or not. What I do know now...we have the most tremendous support and love from our family and friends, that labor and delivery nurses (including via text from my cousin in Denver) are the hardest working people I know, and that the NICU is filled with the most love I have ever felt. Luke and I are grateful for the journey we started one year ago, for today and for the next thousands of tomorrows.
