@crohnsiscray said it best ‍♀️ I’m 2 days post op for my third major surgery (ostomy # 2) and they still don’t know which disease I have...seriously, that’s beyond cray. ALSO I might be going home today! I’m handling the pain even though it’s rough. No more morphine and I walked by myself, showered (!!!), and ate some normal food. I am beyond exhausted, mentally and physically, but it’s to be expected. This surgery decision was pretty much 5 years in the making and I’m just ready to move on with my new life now

It’s important to look back to see how far you’ve come • With my first half Ironman triathlon just six days away, I’m taking time to reflect on my journey since surgery last August. It was a long road to recovery but I remained optimistic that I would come away from the experience stronger than ever • As my training wraps up and I begin tapering, I’m beyond grateful my health has allowed me to push myself these last few months. When I committed to doing this race, my biggest concern and question mark was my health and if it would hold up. Thankfully, it has and I am ready to push my limits next Saturday at the #oceanside703 Ironman • • Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
