Danielle's Story ❤: "Making a baby was something that did not come easily for us. It took years of doctor appointments, medicines, hormones, acupuncture, weight fluctuations, crying over too many glasses of wine, emotional exhaustion, having hope, giving up again, and then waking up the next morning putting on a fresh face that everything was totally okay. I went through finding out friends were having babies and while I was so happy for them, I was screaming on the inside. So many people casually asked “When are you going to have kids?” to which I would always casually reply something like, “When I’m not killing it at work,” or “When I stop loving Happy Hour so much!” There were moments I doubted I’d ever get the chance to tell Connor he was going to be a father, and that felt soul-crushing. I took this photo the day I found out that wasn’t the case. . Connor and I ended up going through a Fertility Center to conceive through a referral from a friend. We were working on all of the preliminary testing/medicines for IVF and ended up being able to conceive naturally with a little help from the greatest doctor. I owe her so much of my happiness. . One thing I’ve learned through this experience is that words matter! Don’t ask people when they plan on having kids, or more kids. This question can be sad and hurtful for those who are struggling, even though you don’t know what their situation is or mean to be insensitive. . Of course there are many methods of becoming a parent. Just because you may not have carried a baby, or may not share blood with a child, doesn’t make anyone any less of a mother or father. I am so grateful and thankful for those people who have chosen to become parents in alternative ways. You’re the real MVPs! . I want anyone reading this, struggling or not, to know you aren’t alone. While my fertility story has a happy ending, so many are not as lucky. And if you ever ever need a friend, I am here for you. @geo702 and i just did the craziest and most wonderful thing. We transferred to embryos a grade 5AA that was hatching and a grade 4AA. We are on cloud 9 and can’t thank our amazing family and friends for all their love and constant support. We are OFFICIALLY PUPO (pregnant until proven otherwise)

You guys, I’m just in total dream land right now!⠀ - ⠀ We got our second beta results back and the number more than doubled! We went from 873 at 11DP5DT to 2,089 at 13DP5DT!⠀ -⠀ So our sweet little baby is moving and growing right along! We have our first ultrasound scheduled for April 17th!⠀ -⠀ I had to buy a pregnancy test because gosh dang it, I wanted to see my FIRST EVER BFP in our SIX YEARS of trying. (I totally even filmed it ‍♀️)⠀ -⠀ So now we are on to another two week wait until the ultrasound. I’ve got two more pregnancy tests, and I’m going to take one each week until the ultrasound just to ease my mind a little.⠀ -⠀ As an IVF warrior, it’s super weird to not be at the doctors at least twice a week, so being gone for two whole weeks kinda freaks me out. ⠀ -⠀ But we are super thankful for our high HcG levels and can’t wait to see this little bean!!⠀ -⠀

Good morning! Been a little MIA because the hormone shots have been having me tired, sore, bloated, and emotional. I’ve been listening to my body and just resting and prepping for tomorrow which is egg retrieval day!! So happy to be done with 10 days of hormone shots! "I was sobbing in my closet because I finally understood. Several of my friends had experienced infertility, IVF and miscarriage. I didn’t understand it when they were going through it, because how could I? I didn’t know what it felt like. I tried to be sensitive, but I didn’t get it. Then, a few years later I was experiencing it myself, and I found myself in my closet sobbing. For THEM. Because I finally understood and I truly felt that pain that they had been feeling. I was truly, deeply sad that they had felt what I was feeling. You don’t understand…until you do. As you scroll through, you can get a tiny glimpse into what our experience felt like. What you don’t see is the extreme anxiety. I had to sleep touching Tyler because I felt so distraught. The breakdowns. The hundreds of needles. My heart is filled with so much LOVE and gratitude from the outpouring of support over these past 4 weeks. ❤️ I decided to share this publicly on social media because there is power and healing with telling your story. Also, living with such a horrific invisible condition like Lupus and Infertility, I wanted to be a voice for all those out there fighting this battle. ❤️ I’ve always been very vocal with my story because I want to raise awareness and education to support my fellow tribe. I recently had some pretty significant medical complications following an IVF procedure. I’m ok and on the mend healing and recovering with the most amazing support system . ❤️ My biggest lesson over these past few weeks as I’ve been healing, is that it’s ok to ask for help and it actually feels pretty amazing to be loved on by those who really want to help you. My husband Jason has been above and beyond the worlds best caregiver and soulmate . Words can’t express how lucky I am. ❤️ Thank you to everyone for all the texts, calls, emails, visits, cards, flowers, and meals.
